Originally premiered at Project Arts Centre in April 2016, Recovery is a live concept album about family. Written by Zoe Ní Riordáin in collaboration with Maud Lee, the piece explores dysfunction, pain and how to move on. It stars Peter Coonan, Maud Lee, Aoife Spratt and Stephen Quinn. Recovery received the Romilly Walton Masters award for experimental theatre, which allowed it to tour to the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris in December ‘17 and toured nationally in November ‘18.

Recovery has an identity that defies itemisation...The word that kept coming to my mind was patience, a sense that things would take as long as they took, that the moments of musical glory will arrive when they are earned and then go when they’re over.
