Anyone fresh from a bad breakup will recognise the sensations, oscillating between anguish and repudiation.

Everything I Do

Premiering at this year Dublin Fringe Festival, Everything I Do is One Two One Two’s new music theatre show. It’s a live concept album performed by Zoe Ní Riordáin and Aoife McAtamney and directed by Maud Lee. Simon Cullen produced the album and designed the live sound of the show.

It had a sold out run of 9 shows at Project Arts Centre, nominated for Best Production and winner of Best Performer Award (Zoe Ní Riordáin). Full video of the show available on request.

The show will be at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 31st July to 25th August at Summerhall venue.

Recovery

Originally premiered at Project Arts Centre in April 2016, Recovery is a live concept album about family. Written by Zoe Ní Riordáin in collaboration with Maud Lee, the piece explores dysfunction, pain and how to move on. It stars Peter Coonan, Maud Lee, Aoife Spratt and Stephen Quinn. Recovery received the Romilly Walton Masters award for experimental theatre, which allowed it to tour to the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris in December ‘17 and toured nationally in November ‘18.

Recovery has an identity that defies itemisation...The word that kept coming to my mind was patience, a sense that things would take as long as they took, that the moments of musical glory will arrive when they are earned and then go when they’re over.

Maud in Cahoots (band)

Maud and Zoe founded the band in New York City in 2009. Described by others as 'alternative Scandanavian orchestral pop', Maud in Cahoots honed their craft by playing live across NYC, The US and Canada. they were awarded the Arthur Guinness Bursary for new music which took them to London in 2012 to record a critically acclaimed EP with Max Heyes (Primal Scream). They have toured the UK and Ireland, playing at all major Irish Festivals. The band have now moved on to become One Two One Two and we look forward to the new chapter! Thanks for listening and we'll see you at the show.

The Well Rested Terrorist

Our first music based theatre show premiered at the Abbey Theatre on the Peacock stage as part of Dublin Fringe Festival 2014. It was presented by our band, Maud in Cahoots, and the idea was to bring the band into a theatre and see what happened. We wrote a concept album based around the image of 'terrorist' asleep on a plane, and it became an exploration of performance, inaction and dysfunction. It featured Rory Fleck Byrne, Maud Lee, Stephen Markham, George Mercer and Martin McCann.

IF BEYONCÉ PATENTED THE “VISUAL ALBUM,” THEN LEAVE IT TO IRISH ALT-POP ENSEMBLE MAUD IN CAHOOTS TO PIONEER THE “LIVE CONCEPT ALBUM”.
